Comtech Telecommunications gets extra USD1.0m SATCOM equipment order

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) reported its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a USD1.0m equipment order.

This follow-on order from a telecommunications operator is for satellite earth station equipment, including satellite modems, CX-U RAN optimization units, RF transceivers and amplifiers. The operator will utilize the equipment to support the further build out of a Vipersat-powered unified national emergency telecommunications and network restoral platform in the Asia-Pacific region. The network consists of two national hubs, 300 fixed earth stations, 100+ communication-on-the-move emergency response vehicles and flyaways.
