Swiss AviationTraining receives certification from Russian Civil Aviation Authority

The civil aviation authority of the Russian Federation has certified Swiss AviationTraining to provide maintenance training for the Embraer (NYSE: ERJ) 170 and 190 aircraft types the Switzerland-based firm said.

SAT said that its basic and further E-Jet training for technical personnel was formally approved by the Russian aviation authority for Levels B1, B2, B3 and C on November 6th.

The firm added that its maintenance training meets all the provisions of EASA Part 147 and the corresponding requirements for China (CAAC Part 147) and Australia (CASA Part 147), and has already been approved by numerous other national aviation authorities.

This latest certification, which has been issued for an initial two years, will enable SAT to further expand its range of E-Jet training products and services for the Russian market.

With its multimedia training approach, SAT provides efficient and highly realistic technical training that is optimally aligned to the customer´s individual needs. The Level B1, B2, B3 and C courses which have now been certified by the Russian authorities qualify the technical staff concerned to perform comprehensive maintenance work on the Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft types.

SAT´s technical training programmes combine web-based training methods with many operational experience offered by its instructors.

SWISS AviationTraining operates as a PART 147 organisation, and is recognized as a maintenance training organization by the Chinese and Australian governments.
