MICROS names new global hosting leader

MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS) said it has named Jay Upchurch, CIO and senior vice president of global hosting and SaaS.

Upchurch is an accomplished managed application services and product marketing management executive with more than 14 years´ experience in professional services and leading large, global hosting and SaaS organizations. In this new role, Upchurch will be responsible for leading MICROS´ hosting and SaaS and MIS teams around the world.

Most recently, Upchurch served with AT&T (NYSE: T) , where he led worldwide teams in hosting, cloud and applications services. He has also held several executive positions at AT&T where he was responsible for managed services, including managed infrastructure, managed applications and cloud solutions.
