Southwest Airlines launches "military heroes month"

Dallas-based low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) said that during its fourth annual celebration in November dubbed “Military Heroes Month” the carrier aims to recognise the sacrifices of veterans service members and their families across the US.

Using the weekly themes of Service, Honor, Sacrifice, and Celebrate, Southwest will commemorate our service men and women through activities with nonprofit organizations and special communication and engagement events.

The carrier said it is sponsoring groups and events such as The Mission Continues, Operation Freedom Bird, and the Dallas Veterans Day Parade.

Southwest Airlines´ more than 45,000 employees serve more than 100m customers annually.
