Indianapolis USA-based airline operator Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) said that it has agreed to a 48-hour extension of exclusivity of the sale process for Frontier Airlines.
The buyer, Indigo Partners, has informed Republic that they have made good progress but have not been able to resolve all the conditions to close the transaction, Republic Airways officials said.
Indigo therefore requested and Republic agreed to extend the deadline by 48 hours.
Republic Airways Holdings is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America.
The airlines operate a combined fleet of more than 285 aircraft and offer scheduled passenger service on over 1,600 flights daily to 145 cities in the US as well as to the Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Turks and Caicos Islands under branded operations at Frontier, and through fixed-fee flights operated under airline partner brands.
