Florida-based aircraft cabin interior products maker B/E Aerospace (NASDAQ: BEAV) said that New York-based low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways is launching new B/E Aerospace economy Pinnacle seats for JetBlue´s core economy seating.
The firm said it will retrofit approximately 70 JetBlue Airbus A320 aircraft and will outfit approximately 30 brand new Airbus A321s that will join the JetBlue fleet over the next few years with its Pinnacle seats. In addition, there are options to retrofit up to approximately 60 additional A320 aircraft.
B/E Aerospace said that the Pinnacle main cabin seating platform is the industry´s lightest full-featured economy class seat.
The firm´s manufactured products include aircraft cabin seating, lighting systems, oxygen systems, food and beverage preparation and storage equipment, galley systems, and modular lavatory systems. The company also provides cabin interior reconfiguration, program management and certification services.
