Alaska Airlines launches Portland, Oregon-to-Dallas/Fort Worth flights

Seattle USA-based carrier Alaska Airlines (NYSE: ALK) said it is launching nonstop service between Portland Oregon and Dallas/Fort Worth starting this week.

To mark the new service, Alaska Airlines is offering a one-way fare of USD 129. Fares must be purchased by September 19, require a 14-day advance purchase, and are valid for travel from September 30 through November 20, 2013.

Alaska Airlines will offer double Mileage Plan miles on Portland-Dallas flights between September 16 and October 31, 2013.

To qualify, customers must register at the carrier´s website prior to their first qualifying flight.

Alaska Airlines has inaugurated service from Portland to seven other destinations since June 2012, including Atlanta, Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, the Hawaiian island of Kauai, Fairbanks, Alaska, Bozeman, Mont., Pasco, Wash., and Santa Barbara, Calif.

The carrier serves 95 cities through an network in Alaska, the Lower 48, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.
