One of three awards for Driving Digital Government in the State Government category of Digital Government Achievement Awards has gone to Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin´s Appointments Suite of Services.
The DGAA announced 2013 winners in the international competition that recognizes outstanding United States and international government agency and department websites and projects at the application and infrastructure level. The Driving Digital Government Award is presented to those who use technology to re-conceptualize, transform and digitize the way government interacts with its customers, both internally and externally.
The Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin´s Appointments Suite of Services is the first online appointment system of its kind to be implemented in the nation. It serves as an online repository for Oklahoma appointments and current or potential appointees with the added functionality of customizable queries and data tracking.
The online service is a product of a partnership between the Oklahoma Office of Governor Mary Fallin and OK.gov, Oklahoma´s official website managed by the egovernment firm, NIC Inc. (NASDAQ: EGOV).
