US-based start-up carrier Baltia Air Lines Inc (OTCBB: BLTA) said that its selection of captains, first officers and flight engineers has been finalised for training.
The selected cockpit crews are on “stand-by” awaiting training to commence, the carrier said.
Baltia said its goal is to become a US airline in the trans-Atlantic market between the major US cities and capital cities of Eastern Europe, including Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
The carrier said it intends to provide three-class passenger service, as well as cargo and mail transportation. Baltia plans to begin their foreign scheduled air transportation as the only U.S. airline, connecting directly, to two of the world´s most prominent cities –New York and St Petersburg.
No ticket sales are currently available, the carrier said. This service is subject to receipt of government operating authority.
