Daegis Q1 2014 revenue down 17%

Daegis (NASDAQ: DAEG) said its first quarter 2014 total revenue was USD8.0m, a decrease of 17% year-over-year, while its GAAP net loss was USD633,000 or USD0.05 per share, compared to GAAP net income of USD157,000 or USD0.00 per share for the same period last year.

CEO Tim Bacci said, “Daegis had a challenging first quarter from a revenue standpoint across both our segments. We´re taking decisive steps to improve performance. Our strategy to align our businesses to deliver a comprehensive approach to archiving and eDiscovery is on course and we believe we have the products, the talent and the market opportunity to grow the business over the long-term.”

Daegis provides eDiscovery, application development, data management, migration, and archiving software solutions worldwide. It operates in two segments: eDiscovery; and database, archive, and migration. The company was formerly known as Unify Corp. and changed its name to Daegis Inc. in July 2011.
