Lexmark buying Saperion for USD72m

Lexmark International Inc. (NYSE: LXK) said it will buy European business software maker Saperion AG for about USD72m in cash.

The printer maker said Tuesday that the German company´s products are highly scalable and easy to integrate with all major enterprise resource planning, email and document management systems.

The company has also developed cloud-based and mobile enterprise content management systems to provide workers easy access to important content regardless of their location.

The deal, which subject to regulatory approval in Germany, expected to close in the third quarter.

Lexmark International engages in the development, manufacture, and supply of printing, imaging, device management, managed print services, document workflow, business process, and content management solutions in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Pacific Rim, and the Caribbean.
