Dublin-based commercial aircraft lessor Fly Leasing Ltd (NYSE: FLY) said it has acquired a 2013 vintage Boeing (NYSE: BA) 737-800.
The aircraft is on a long-term lease to a leading carrier in China, Fly said. The purchase was financed with FLY´s unrestricted cash and its aircraft acquisition facility.
According to Fly CEO Colm Barrington this is the sixth B737-800 and seventh aircraft Fly has acquired in 2013.
Fly acquires and leases commercial jet aircraft under multi-year operating lease contracts to a diverse group of airlines throughout the world. The firm is managed and serviced by BBAM LP, an aircraft lease manager with more than 20 years of experience.
