Following the cruise ship Queen Mary 2´s 200th transatlantic crossing UK-based cruise line Cunard released video highlights from its flagship´s milestone Atlantic voyage.
Cunard said that the QM2 departed New York for Southampton, England, on 6 July 2013.
The video features footage of the ship´s special sail-by of the iconic Statue of Liberty, and the always anticipated sailing under the Verrazano Bridge.
During the feature, Commodore Christopher Rynd speaks about this significant Crossing, which included lectures by Queen Mary 2´s Chief Naval Architect, Stephen Payne; and famed BBC broadcaster, Nick Owens; enthralling performances by Juilliard Jazz School musicians; and a celebratory dinner.
