Accenture (NYSE: ACN) said it is collaborating with Michelin Group to create a new business focused on delivering mobility solutions to its customers through the use of the Accenture Cloud Platform and a wide range of solutions offered on a pay-per-use basis.
Michelin is designing, developing and marketing a new generation of mobility-enabled solutions targeted at business customers who manage fleets of vans, trucks and earthmoving equipment. These solutions will help manage areas such as fuel efficiency, tire management and vehicle productivity solutions.
Using the Accenture Cloud Platform for hosting and monitoring, Accenture can rapidly provision the infrastructure to automate the processes required to execute client contracts.
Accenture and Michelin started work in May 2012 to create the technology infrastructure and capabilities needed to launch Michelin Solutions brand.
